The Properties Panel

Overview
The Properties Panel is a floating tool window that allows you to configure individual cam windows. You can do this by choosing Properties from either the cam window's pop-up menu, or the main toolbar/menu. In the latter case, the Properties Panel will display the properties of the selected cam. If more than one cam is selected, the panel will display properties that are common to all the selected cams. Changing the values of these properties will affect all the selected cams. This makes it easy to apply properties to a whole group of cams in one go.

The panel automatically disappears when you click on a different Camembert window. If you want it to remain on the screen, you can 'pin it down' by clicking the pin button on the left of the panel.

General Tab

Propeties - General Tab This allows you to set the cam's Name, URL and Update Interval. Specify the cam's name in the Name box, and its URL in the URL box. The Interval box allows you to set the update interval in seconds, minutes or hours. Note: The name is used to uniquely identify cam windows, and also as the folder name that the image history will be stored in. Changing the name will cause the folder to change too, and you may want to copy the image history into the new folder afterwards. Do not give two different cams the same name.

History Tab

Propeties - History Tab This allows you to set a cam's history settings. Check the Keep box to tell the program that you only want to keep a fixed number of image files, and specify the number in the files box. The program will then keep the history trimmed to that number of files. Check the Delete files smaller than box if you want the program to delete files that are smaller than a certain size, and specify the size in the KB box. This is useful for removing invalid files that were caused by failed downloads.

Location Tab

Propeties - Location Tab This allows you to set a cam's location. Enter the city, state or country where the cam is located, and specify the time zone of that location. This information is displayed in the cam list and allows you to see at a glance the time at that location. You can use this to determine whether you want to view the cam or not. This information is not required, but it is useful to set it correctly if you can.
