About Memos

A Memo is a piece of text that is associated with an image or a location. There are two kinds of memo; standard and HTML.

Image Memos

Both kinds of image memo can be set and edited by selecting the thumbnail of an image and choosing Properties from the Image menu.

The standard image memo is used:

HTML image memo on web page

Note: Image memos are associated with an image's file contents id. This means that they will survive if an image file is renamed or moved, but they will not survive if the image file is physically modified.

Location Memos

Both kinds of location memo can be set and edited by choosing Properties from the File menu.

Note: Location memos are associated with the location's name. This means that they will not survive if the location is renamed.
