Sorting Thumbnails

The PMIO browser displays its thumbnails in one of 17 different sorted orders. The default order is file name ascending, which means that the thumbnails are arranged in ascending order of the file names of the associated images. To change the sort order, use one of the following methods:

Choose from the drop-down list on the toolbar.

Choose from the Sort By menu under the Thumbnail menu.

The following sort orders are currently provided:

Sort Order	Meaning
Image Width	Sorts by the pixel width of the image
Image Height	Sorts by the pixel height of the image
Image Depth	Sorts by the bit-depth of the image
Image Area	Sorts by the pixel area of the image
File Contents Id	Sorts by the file contents id of the image file
File Name	Sorts by the name of the image file
File Extension	Sorts by the extension of the image file
File Date	Sorts by the date modified of the image file
File Size	Sorts by the byte size of the image file
File Location	Sorts by the location of the image file
Average Colour Temp.	Sorts by the overall colour temperature of the image
Average Hue	Sorts by the overall hue of the image
Average Saturation	Sorts by the overall saturation of the image
Average Brightness	Sorts by the overall brightness of the image
Aspect Ratio	Sorts by the aspect ratio of the image
Random Order	Sorts randomly
Custom Order	Sorts by your own custom order.
