Pink Mouse Productions creates Shareware and Freeware, but not AdWare and certainly not SpyWare. While the latest trend of AdWare is a clever idea in itself, it is already being abused by some software developers who install spy programs in their users' computers. We detest this practise and do not ever intend to add even ordinary banner adverts to our software. If we want money, we will ask you to register our Shareware. As for Freeware, we believe that free software is best when you are free to use it without having to look at flashing banners. When you register our software or write to us for any reason, we store your email address for future reference, but we will never use it for spamming, profit or illegal purposes.
Camembert is our first product to use an experimental remote configuration system called Nuggets. This system allows us to modify the program's help menu by changing a file on our server. The system is completely benign; the program simply retrieves small files from the server and uses them to update its menu. The system never sends information about what you are doing to the server. While this system allows us to discreetly advertise our own products, it will never be used to deliberately advertise anyone else's commercial products. If we find a free program useful, we may recommend it by adding it to the list.
